PROTOS
On the banks of the River Duero rises the peak of Peñafiel.
On its slopes is the town that bears its name as well as
Bodega Protos. The peak is crowned by a castle which is
often seen to rise out of the thick winter fogs, like a phantom
ship. We can almost hear the sound of centuries-old
battles still echoing from its ramparts.
Ribera Duero —The famous Spanish wine after which the
local Consejo Regulador named the prestigious region Ribera
del Duero. Vinted from exceptional Tinto del País grapes and
aged for four months in select new American oak. This delicious
wine has rich fruit, great body, and soft, yet firm tannins.
